    Flooring Installers in Mermaid Waters

Mermaid Waters is a canal and lake suburb west of the highway, close to Pacific Fair and about 20 minutes from our Mudgeeraba base. We supply and install flooring for Mermaid Waters homes, from low-set canal houses to two-storey family homes around Lake Hugh Muntz, with a free in-home measure and a fixed written quote.

    Flooring for Mermaid Waters homes

Much of Mermaid Waters was developed in the 1970s and 1980s, so many homes are large, low-set brick houses with terrazzo, ceramic tiles or original carpet in the living areas and a pool or pontoon out the back. Renovations here are often whole-house: owners open up the kitchen and living zone and want one continuous floor running out toward the water. Canal-front rooms see more humidity and strong reflected light, so product choice and colour stability matter. Older tiled floors can sometimes stay in place under a floating floor, which saves the cost and dust of removal, but the tiles must be firmly bonded and flat, and the extra height has to work at doors, kitchen kickboards and sliding door tracks. We check all of that at the measure.

What we recommend in Mermaid Waters

Waterproof hybrid is the most practical choice for canal-front living areas: it copes with wet feet from the pool, holds its shape in humid months and can often float over existing tiles. Engineered oak suits owners who want natural timber in formal rooms away from the water. For bedrooms, a solution-dyed nylon or wool-blend carpet is comfortable and fade-resistant. Lighter, colour-stable tones help hide dust and keep rooms bright where glass doors face the water.
